When we lost Ameobi n Jan it looked like we had lost our creative spark, however Morais over the last three games has been outstanding. Which got me thinking, if we do get promotion which oneĀ is better suited to playing in the championship and who would you sign?

Think I would go for Morais on work rate and probably lower wages, however Ameobi has age and the greater potential.

The timing of this comparison is a bit unfair given that Morais has just played three really good games in a row and Ameobi is sidelined. Morais certainly has the better current form.

It's like asking who would you prefer, Messi or Trotter.

Ameobi did nothing but run into blind alleys and trip over the ball.

Morais. Puts in a real shift, and he's certainly surprised me. A more conventional winger than Ameobi, but I'd certainly be happy to have them both in the squad.
I suppose a lot depends on us getting promotion. If we fail,I can see a few of our better players being picked off,and we're back to square one.

Morais has been outstanding but if there wasn't a frustrating side to him that we haven't seen yet, there's no way Bradford would have let him go.

Seem to remember Feeney having a similar effect in his first five games for us and nobody could work out why Millwall wanted rid of him. Soon became apparent.

Definitely suspect Ameobi would be the more effective player over 46 games.

My problem with Ameobi is that he goes missing for long periods. His final delivery also leaves much to be desired.
Nice hair though. Which is everything to the modern footballer.
I never saw Ralph Coates obsessing about his coiffure.

Yes, just think how many times he could trip over the ball. He may even beat the record currently held by Vaz Te and Diouf.

No one could match Vaz Te. He didn't even need the ball to fall over.

Give it a few more matches, and you'll be coming out with all usual cliches about Morais.

"One trick pony", "for every great cross there's 10 shit ones", etc.

I don't know why you bother wetting your knickers over Bolton players like this, because you know you'll be writing them off as soon as they have a bad match.

Where did I say Morais was a great player?

I simply think he's better than Ameobi. As I've said from the start, if Ameobi was an ugly bugger from Sheffield with a shit haircut he'd have been booed off most matches.

But Bolton fans are generally pretty thick. Just like Diouf before him, Ameobi's shit play was forgiven as long as he smiled a lot and gelled his hair in a sexy way.
