It may be April Fool's Day but we can't afford to fall for any tricks as our home match on Saturday kicks off a week of 3 games that could prove decisive in our bid to get back to the Championship.

As we fight to for automatic promotion, Chesterfield will be preoccupied with fighting for their survival in League One as they are currently sitting 10 points away from safety.

On paper, it shouldn't be much of problem as they haven't won since they beat Swindon away on the 4th March and half our fans and the media seem to think we have promotion in the bag already, but with Parky and the lads having an eye on Tuesday's and Saturday's big away clashes there is just a tiny possibility that minds won't on the immediate job at hand.

Surely we are too professional to slip up in this one? I'm thinking 3-1 home win.

We're in  a great position. A position those below us would love to be in.

However,I've been a Wanderer long enough to know that,if anyone can cock this up,we can.

That said,I think we've hit our stride at just the right time, and I fancy a 3,or even 4 goal win.

Absolutely no idea how this will play out.

I haven't bothered predicting any results this season because I have learnt that I am not very good at it.

So I'm keeping schtum and hoping for the best.

(And don't think I haven't noticed your avi updates, Bounce. It's all getting noted...)

They're filed in season and match order, aren't they?

Impressive.

I bought the programme as well Bonce but I was never one to chase autographs. I remember those years not doing much under Jimmy Armfield although he did get us back to the second division in 73 and his win rate was pretty good TBF.

That magazine scarred me - specifically a team photo of City where Frannie Lee's knob was hanging out of his shorts. They always had a team photo centrefold and I think it was the late '60s when that particular horror show was shared throughout England.

Ref watch: Eddie Ilderton to take charge of Chesterfield clash

Eddie Ilderton will take charge of Bolton Wanderers’ clash with Chesterfield at Macron Stadium on Saturday.

The Tyne & Wear-based official has run the rule over nine Whites’ matches in the past, the most recent being Bolton's dramatic 2-2 draw away at Bradford City earlier in the season.

In the 14 matches he has overseen so far this season, Mr Ilderton has handed out 43 yellow cards and two red cards.

Anthony Moore and Glen Hart will run the line, while Matthew Bristow is the fourth official.

Apparently sold over 20.000 tickets for this one, and with pay on the day could end up around 25.000.

Fiver a ticket. The parking will cost more than the game. But with parking and food and drink out is still gonna cost about forty quid for the two of us.   Hopefully it will be worth it with a good atmosphere

I'm on the bloody Macron bus. Just hope I get to my seat before KO. And I bet I can't get a programme.

Decided to elbow the Macron bus and get there early. Don't fancy being hampered by all those armchairs.
I'll potter about ASDA looking shifty.
Nothing new there really.

Lets hope they've ordered extra pies and beer  Very Happy

Won't bother me. I just scoff a bag of crisps at half time, and that's me done. Some people around me seem to think HT is an opportunity for a picnic.
You wouldn't believe what they pull out of their bags.
