What would your line-up against Leeds look like? Feel free to include the loan signings we look to be definitely getting in and any trialist you think we will get.

Here is mine: A Taylor and Ameobi running the wings and tracking back. Have Derik as a defensive mid. With Armstrong latching onto Madine's knockdowns.

I think we will get a few more in yet before the Leeds game, so it might be a bit early to guess the team but I'll give it a go anyway.

I think Parkinson will revert back to 4-4-2 and stick at first mainly with the players he knows and trust.

I think he has Alnwick as his first choice keeper, at least he held that position at the end of last season.

I'm sure he will start with Darby his former captain at right back, with Taylor at left.

Beevers and Wheater as CB's

Parkinson seems to have got himself a lot of wingers (a bit too much Owenesque for my liking) so I think he will play one on each wing - why else get so many if you only intend to play just one?

So I think both Ameobi and Buckley will play.

If we then jump to the forwards and assume Madine is a certain starter and ALF will be given the nod at the start of the season over Armstrong, then that just leaves two for holding the whole of the midfield.

I assume the best two we have to boss in front of the back four and break forward when necessary would be then Pratley and Vela - leaving Karacan on the bench.

That's my best guess at this stage.

I think we will see lots of different formations this year, not sure that will benefit us, the side I would like to see would be 3-5-2

            Howard

Beevers Bruce Wheater

Morais                     Taylor

       Buckley Vela Pratley

               Armstrong

                Madine

i get the impression 352 was forced on him so i think he will go back to a back 4 to start the season and go back to a 4231 formation

Agree I can't see why we would sign Darby and Little and not play 4 at the back, although I don't think it will suit us. Our centre half's seem better playing as a three.

If it is 4-2-3-1 I would go for:

             Howard

Little Beevers Wheater Taylor

     Vela           Karacan

Ameobi  Armstrong   Buckley

             Madine

Can't get Morais in that line up, would play Little ahead of Darby and Karacan instead of Pratley although I have doubts on both.

At this point with Morais injured and a bit of loyalty to the promoted team i agree with Sluffy that's the eleven i had penciled in.

Karacan for Pratley possibly but i think he will go for clean sheets as a first priority.

If we can replicate a similar defensive record then we should stay up.

Going forward i expect Armstrong to oust ALF

I can see Parky playing a few games with just three at the back. Wheater and Beevers pretty much pick themselves so he has plenty of contenders for full back including Dervite who looked better at full back than centre half.

Leeds seem confident they can build on last season and get to the Premiership having signed players from all over Europe plus Vurnon Anita from Newcastle. It's going to be a very difficult opener - not that any games will be easy in this league.

I don't think they'll be ready as a unit. It is all well and good getting a shed load of players in, but getting them playing well together? That's another! Hopefully we will give them a spanking!

I'd be amazed if Madine wasn't the first name on the teamsheet.

I'd be surprised if we didn't stick with a back 5.

Ameobi out for 6 weeks with a knee injury apparently. Great start!

It's no loss if Morais is fit.

Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!

Let's just hope Morais can carry his form from last season into this one. He'll find it a lot more difficult this year against championship defences that's for sure.

Morais might not be playing, back from injury but not match fit according to a few people. We will see, hoping he will start though.
