The what cup???

Better known to oldies like me as the League Cup.

Will we putting out our first team or giving our fringe players a game do you think?

Anyone going - it is pay on the night with tickets at just £10.00 - more here -

Is there a difference between first team and fringe players? They're all crap.

We'll lose by the odd goal no doubt.

Crewe 2-1 Bolton.

Parky out.

Would rather get knocked out at this stage as the league is priority and the squad is thin as it is.

:agree:

We can do without all the extra midweek games in a cup we have no chance of winning.

It's a new energy drink I think, I'm sure a sales rep from the company came to my work to try flog us some.

What happened to wanting a cup run, get past these and we may get a Premier League side and a chance of putting someone's nose out of joint. Play some of those who missed out on Saturday by all means but we should be all out for a win, COYW

I welcome the game because I don't think Parky got it quite right against Leeds and the cup game gives another opportunity to try things out as well as giving some players game time.

I'm with Nick and Wander. We need the team to knit, and that won't happen as well if every game is a full-on Championship game. Not only that, the players need something to build up their confidence, and a cup run could help them a great deal.
Picking and choosing games to turn up to has never proved beneficial for us.

Apparently we can't even give the youngsters a run out. How shite is that!? Dean needs to piss off so we can try and sort our embargo out. The 23 man rule is ridiculous.

Parkinson is looking to make several changes at Gresty Road tomorrow night with Will Buckley, Ben Alnwick, Mark Little, Derik Osede and Adam Armstrong all likely to feature.

Filipe Morais could also see his first action of the season, having recovered sufficiently from a knee injury. But Parkinson will be unable to make wholesale changes because of the peculiarities of the EFL embargo rules, which restrict him from playing the likes of Jeff King, Alex Perry, Jake Turner and Conor Hall – who were all given professional deals this summer.
“It is a bit strange,” admitted the Wanderers boss. “We can play the third-year scholars but can’t play anyone who is a first year pro because as soon as they step foot on the pitch they count as one of our 23 going forward.
“Once again it’s a restriction which is a shame for those young players who we’d like to have given time to. It’s going over old ground, because we know the rules.”

Ridiculous rule, youngsters are what will help clubs get out of a financial mess, yet with the embargo they get punished!

Thanks very much.

Would like us to give Amstrong a full game. He definitely knows where the goals are and has a lot of pace over ten yards.
