Next up is the away trip to Craven Cottage against a Fulham side who are "totally unpredictable" according to my Fulham-supporting mate.
He reckons they tend to dominate possession, play decent stuff but are capable of giving away stupid goals. Tim Ream is still there and they have some quality players however if we up our game and pressure them high up the pitch they can get turned over.
I reckon it will be a draw if - and only if - we play at the top of our game.

1 - 1

Remember seeing us win 2-0 down there in 1968.
Freddie Hill and John Hulme scoring the goals.
We nearly got our heads kicked in on the way back to the coach.

I was there in 1992 when we won 4-1. Think it's the last time we won a league game there. Andy Walker and David Lee scored if I remember correctly.

It's going to be difficult. I'd take a draw. 3pts would be wonderland.

This is a graveyard usually. 2-0 seems the norm so hope the lads prove me wrong.

We're the away team in this equation Martin. Our only chance of flowing football is if there's a thunderstorm and the pitch floods.

Park the bus Parky won't take any chances here. He knows we'll be very lucky to get out with a point.

You don't think we might get a 1 -1 draw "if we play at the top of our game" then?

TBF it's a big "if"...

Ref watch: Geoff Eltringham to oversee Fulham clash

Geoff Eltringham will take charge of Wanderers’ Sky Bet Championship fixture against Fulham on Saturday afternoon.

Involved in the game professionally since 2008, the official has run the rule over nine Bolton games, his first a 1-0 defeat against Crystal Palace in 2012, while his most recent Whites game saw Phil Parkinson’s side defeated 3-0 by Middlesbrough in September 2017.

The Durham-based official also ran the rule over Bolton’s 2-0 win over Bury last season awarding two penalties in favour of the Whites at Gigg Lane.

So far this season, Mr Eltringham has issued 40 yellow cards, meanwhile, he is yet to brandish his red card.

Mark Pottage and Shaun Hudson will run the line while Keith Stroud is the fourth official.

We should stop deluding ourselves imagining that we can get anything at Fulham.
We'll be trounced.
