With an away trip to local rivals Preston North End looming after the November international break, Gary Madine cannot wait to get back on the pitch as Wanderers look to build on their recent unbeaten run.

With the Whites unbeaten from their last five, the forward has been on the scoresheet in both of Bolton's last two outings against Sunderland and Norwich City.

And speaking to bwfc.co.uk after the Trotters' recent victory over the Canaries, the 27-year-old voiced his determination to not let the next fortnight derail Wanderers' recent momentum.

On the importance of going into the international break off the back of a win...

It's a good result for us. The international break has admittedly come at a bad time for us, I don’t think any of us want to stop now.

We want to be out there again Tuesday because we're all in fine form and everyone's confident. The sooner Preston comes the better.

On being off the bottom of the table...

It's a bit unfortunate Burton got a result too but we're heading in the right direction.

We've got nine points in five games, which could have easily been 15 points in five games, but we see no reason to fear anyone now.

We went to Aston Villa and probably should have won so yeah, bring it on.

On the stability of the front four...

I don't know how it looks for you lot but I feel when we're going forward, we're really dangerous and we've got a bit of everything. Josh runs all day long, Sammy can get the ball home - we look dangerous.

On getting on the scoresheet again...

I said a few weeks ago after I missed a couple of chances from six yards that it was always going to turn.

You can't keep having that many chances cleared off the line and hitting the post.

I would have liked Adam to score on Tuesday night so there was three Geordies scoring against the Mackems. Unfortunately he never got one but he's got his goal today.

Luckily enough two in a row have gone in for me now so now I'll be aiming to make that three in three at Preston.

On the assist for Adam Armstrong...

It brings me good pleasure seeing that my dirty work and other players bringing me into play acreates chances like Adam got today.

He gave us a big cuddle for setting him up so I was delighted.

On a two-week break before facing Preston North End...

You've always got to rest up, we’ve earned this rest and we've all worked hard - I'm sure you'll all agree. The last five games have all been right at us.

We'll rest up, take it easy and go again after the break.
