Last Wednesday, against Nottingham Forest, Wanderers did not have a meaningful shot on goal.

The nearest we came was when Yanic Wildschut fired hard over the bar after a few minutes into the game.

Wildschut sometimes thinks like Cristiano Ronaldo and takes great joy in running with the ball at defenders.

The trouble was that when he got dispossessed, which he often did, there was no one in support of him to pick up the loose ball.

So it was all Wildschut's fault we lost – utter rubbish.

On Saturday we threw caution to the wind, threw everything we had at Hull City, played well and created many goal opportunities, all to no avail.

We lost to a very soft goal that was one of only two attempts from the visitors.

Football can be a very cruel game.

Clearly a calming influence is now needed to move us on from this poor run.

Continue to panic and every shooting opportunity will become a nightmare for the player that misses.

Don't over-analyse, don't over-prepare, and don't put players in straitjackets.

We have a stronger squad than last season and I believe enough ability to move on from this blip.

Whoever we play we will be second favourites to win.

Let's use this fact to our advantage and maybe do one or two breakaway moves where all our players are in support, not just one man on his own.

There is perhaps a little bit too much of a 'well I've done the job asked of me – the rest is up to you' attitude.

We are all in this together.
