Tyrone Mears to Blackpool on Loan?

Apparantly Tyrone Mears is going to Blackpool on loan, which would be great news! Just rumours at this stage...

This rumour could well have some substance to it. The reporter who wrote this story is a young sports journalist (James Hunt) he tends to be given bits of information from Alan Nixon from time to time.

Does that mean he's not up for sale?

Dougie must know something to take a risk on an unknown like this guy. Only 19 but hasn't really done anything and hasn't started for Le Havre yet.

Maybe this is something to do with the "right DNA" thing Dougie was on about and is another superfast athlete in the Zaha/White mould that he is apparently so keen on.

With us getting rid of Fraser I thought there would be room for that tall lad to return, can't think of his name, think he's Slovakian? 

Maybe this Jeremy kor is better, or cheaper...

Blackpool boss Paul Ince is ready to rescue Tyrone Mears from his nightmare at Bolton Wanderers.

Ince has set up a season-long loan deal for right back Mears who has been left out of Dougie Freedman's plans.

Mears is poised to join the out-of-form Seasiders today as Ince looks to bring in four or five new faces before the weekend.

Freedman is also ready to let young striker Conor Wilkinson join Northampton on loan.

Wilkinson signed from Millwall in the summer but has yet to start and Freedman is keen to see him play for the League Two strugglers.

It looks like Mears would go on loan and then he is out of contract at the end of the season anyway.

Can't see Oyston paying more than half of Mears wages, but even £12,500 off the wage bill would help us.

I agree. Blackpool are renowned for being tight with regards to players wages, I reckon we'll still have to stump up around half of Mears's wages. 

If that means freeing up some cash for Dougie to bring in a player, that wouldn't be bad news.

I just hoped we'd get back some of the >£million we paid for him.

One thing Dougie doesn't do is let players rot for too long. OK none have come through yet apart from the few who've made the bench, but the rest have been given every chance and if Dougie doesn't think they'll ever make it he's been absolutely ruthless. What is it now? Seven or eight of the younger players he inherited have been fired off.

I have to disagree... Dougie talks a good talk but cannot deliver.

Out of all these players he has signed for 'development' due to the 'potential' they had, his score is, after 12 months...

Not one of them even close to the first team.

and...

2 of HIS signings (Jan Gregus and Gary fraser) have been fucked off...

watch both of them turn out to be decent players too...

White, Bolger and Odelusi have all made the bench so they're not that far off the first team.
I guess Gregus never fulfilled his potential and Fraser seemed to be having personal issues for want of a better way of putting it, but he gave them a chance and when they didn't hack it they were gone. Decisive.
