Anyone read any good autobiographies - can anyone recommend any. Just picked up the Gazza one (My Story) - not read any others though, but there are a few I wouldn't mind reading.

I have read loads of autobiographies of different sportsmen. It's fascinating seeing what makes them tick and how they are driven to succeed.

The last autobiography I read was Seeing Red by Graham Poll. A good read and brilliant insight into just how difficult it is to be a referee in the modern game.

I got the one on Harry Redknapp this last Christmas, I haven't had time to start reading it yet unfortunately.

'Right back to the beginning' by Jimmy Armfield is a good read. 'How football saved my life' by Alan Stubbs is also worth a look.

Fred Eyre's follow up 'Taking the mike' is also bloody hilarious.

Read it! Quality read if you like cricket. If you are into Formula 1 the autobiography by Murray Walker is a cracker as well.

I enjoyed Lance Armstrong- It's not about the bike when I read it about 5 year ago. It's more a work of fiction than an autobiography now.

Not about a particular player but 'The goalkeeper's history of Britain' by Peter Chapman is one of the best football books I've ever read.

Not by a sportsmen and I'm not into golf but Alice Cooper's Golf Monster is an interesting read, otherwise about his musical life and his golf life.
Interesting to read how it took over his life after he managed to beat the bottle and the high standard he has achieved.

'Gas masks for goal posts' by Anton Rippon is a great read. It's about football in Britain during WW2.
