Further to my bank's decision to offer customers a free three year Malwarebytes licence for up to ten devices, I checked in with the PC security channel.
My own experiment with it almost killed my computer, and this test says a lot. Avoid.

I've got a couple of old bodies in the loft. They're probably mummified by now, so they might do the job.Cajunboy wrote:An old pillow will do.

Avast has ruled the roost for many years when it comes to free AV, and Kaspersky is now running it close. However, I take these reviews with a pinch of salt, because I know for a fact that some of the review sites take handouts.xmiles wrote:Was looking at this issue and saw this: https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwie-9Xy08HnAhULSRUIHf9RCcYQud0BKAAwAHoECAsQAg&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.pcmag.com%2Fpicks%2Fthe-best-free-antivirus-protection&usg=AOvVaw3uusqHU3OrcJhy_C-W0Myk

The best reviewer is the PC Security channel. Leo will put you straight about most of the options out there.

Yes, it was his review of the Kaspersky on YouTube that made me look at other reviews!
