This is one game we really have to win. Blackburn sit one place ahead of us on goal difference and there is a huge incentive for the winning team as we are just 2 points outside the playoff places.
For the loser, the chasing pack will have them in their sights.
But the main reason we have to win is that it's Blackburn f****** Rovers, possibly the oldest rivalry in the world predating the formation of the football league and adoption of modern rules. Never forget that the best thing ever to come out of Blackburn was John Byrom Byrom Byrom who scored over 100 goals for us.
No surrender so don't f*** it up Parky!!

Ref Watch: Darren Bond to oversee Blackburn Rovers clash

Lancastrian Darren Bond will take charge of Wanderers’ Sky Bet Championship local derby home clash against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Entering into his eighth season as an referee, Bond has officiated 11 games this season, in which he has produced 32 yellow cards and sent two players off.

Those red cards came in the EFL Cup tie between Burton Albion and Aston Villa, where he sent off Brewers defender Kyle McFadzean for a second bookable offence.

The week before this, Bond sent Hull City's Evandro packing on 60 minutes for a second yellow card.

When looking towards last season, Bond produced 136 yellow cards in 40 games, branding eighth red cards in total.

Jonathan Hunt and Andrew Fox will run the line for the fixture, with Sebastian Stockbridge as fourth official.

So for those who don't think we miss Sammy Ameobi... 11 points in 6 games when he was playing... and now since his injury 4 points in 6 games.  538 has us at 28% chance of relegation (though it's early and we haven't hit bottom yet).  

Thought we could finish mid-table... but you can't throw away points like we did for the past two games.  There are players on the pitch that should not be there... with defensive lapses that cost us games.  We seem to have little firepower upfront.  We seem hardpressed to string passes together.

What would light the fire under this team?  Does it take hitting bottom to do that?

A bit unlucky today- a draw would have been a fair result. We really are poor in the box . As usual Magennis ran his socks off but he hasn't got much else to his game. Doidge even with this cameo appearance doesn' tlook like he'll do much better. With Ameobi we could have won this game,
