UK based and "consortium"
Anyway it's Marc Warburton but the looks of it.
Is he a rich man?

He alone may not be, but his backers must be otherwise why bother, anyway I heard it's backed by Fred Done and other businessmen.Hipster_Nebula wrote:UK based and "consortium"

So with a few quid coming in, which striker is available now after the window has shut? If money was no object to saving the season, who could be bought?

BOLTON. Hectic. Mark Warburton would be boss if his money men are getting it. Been trying for weeks. Perhaps a breakthrough. Always cautious with sales talk there all the same. Warburton previously a City trader. Must have mates

Bet I'm not.
Tbh, I would have thought you might have known a bit of what has been going on in the background - to be fair to you, you have been first with the news in the past.
Must be stuff going on that you have had no knowledge about then - like people doing due diligence and looking at the books - which isn't a five minute job and must have been going on for weeks.
Anyway, can Anderson actually sell the club if he has debt of £5 million outstanding against his shares?
I would have thought that lien needs to be removed first before any sale could go through.
I don't think the issue is insurmountable but clearly needs to be addressed first before anything else can happen.

The first sniff I got was about 5 minutes before the BEN put the story up. Makes me think this one is the real deal and your hero really has, for once, done what he promised.

I heard about it at 5.35 last night, from a reliable source, and it perked my evening up no end.

It's inevitable Anderson goes sooner or later as he is taking us down the road to bankruptcy and his tenure is increasingly untenable, but I only hope the new owners are up to scratch. So what do we know about this consortium other than Mark Warburton's involvement? I know he has some serious money from his days as a trader - some estimates put it as high as a billion! - and I presume he'd want to be manager but do we know anything about his backers?

One thing about Warburton. He might not have had the most illustrious managerial career but he is one of the most attack-minded managers in the game, so if he does take over and we go down we'll at least go down fighting. Shame it's too late to bring in players for this season.
