If i remember right bonce it's because the government pay for the over 75's and they are stopping it so the BBC will have to fund it and they don't want to.

When I was working on Ascension Island a year or two back, the whole island was administered by the BBC. Nobody really understood why, or even what the cost was, but you can believe it wasn't cheap.

I'm still waiting for Jimmy Saville's Camper Van to visit my house and for the goon to say now then now then av you gotta licence, Fuck the BBC they send out letters accusing people of being criminals yet for the last 40 years there's been a paedophile ring within the corporation who's the fucking criminals?  Cancel your licence show them we are not putting up with their shit anymore, i have they won't get a penny from me or my family again and many of my friends have done the same.
