Seems board member Roger Allanson has been fined for being dodgy. Quite ironic.

A SECOND solicitor has been fined by a tribunal for failing to properly operate his firm's accounts.
The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal ordered Roger Allanson, who operated from offices in Chorley Old Road, Bolton, to pay a £17,000 fine plus £10,000 costs after finding he breached regulations, including allowing improper payments to be made out of the client account and allowing client money to be paid to be paid into the firm's account.
The tribunal stated it was "objectionable" that Mr Allanson allowed the client account to be used to administer payments. "It is no part of a solicitor's practice to provide a banking facility," the judgement said.
However, the tribunal found that the rules breach "occurred through inadvertence and was not due attributable to an improper motive". No loss was caused to clients.

His partner, Mohamed Patel, faced similar allegations and was fined £10,000 plus £7,500 in costs.

Probably relating to what he's consequently been fined for - but there is also this which is in respect of Allanson but for a separate incident -

It's a complicated read but someone summarised it on Wanderes Ways -

Debt management firm that has shit systems and controls in place and is poor at reconciling money.
The firm took money off vulnerable folk in debt and only 51% was used to pay off their actual debt.
Sound like nice folk.

The ST issued this just two days later the links were made on ww -

The Trust has seen recent comments on social media about a coopted member of the Board.

We are looking into the situation and will take whatever steps are necessary once we have established the facts.

and within two weeks announced an 'all clear' over the matter -

Following our statement of 16 January ’19 regarding some social media comments about a co-opted board member, the BWFCST board have looked at the facts in full detail and have unanimously decided that no further action is required. This now concludes the matter.

Iles of course - and even after being contacted directly several times on twitter, as yet to make any comment - let alone write an article on it - even though he's reported on Allanson every time he has been in the news recently, expressing his/the ST's views on the club ownership!

Funny that?

He also hasn't made any comment about Holdsworth leaving Palermo and threatening court action (sound familiar anyone?) even though he wrote a glowing article about him going there just a few weeks back.

Amazing how he can bury the news when it suits his agenda!
