This young man's been in the news today. Anyone remember his Dad playing at Burnden Park?

No. Was it a testimonial?

Wasn't it in the Anglo Italian cup v Brescia? 3-3 draw.

I remember him playing, scored from about 35 yard, Aidan Davidson let it go straight through him. Think Collina was the referee as well.

Top marks Boncey and Deano82. The Anglo Italian trophy and BWFC's first taste of European competition under Bruce Rioch.

Gheorghe Hagi might have been a bit on the portly side but he was a top-drawer player, his time with Brescia being sandwhiched between spells at Real Madrid and Barcelona.

I also seem to recall the match being reffed by Pierluigi Collina, a top top-drawer ref.
