Accrington Stanley manager John Coleman believes the future could be bright for Bolton Wanderers as the two sides drew 0-0 yesterday afternoon.

Bolton had the better of the first half with three good chances to take the lead, but Stanley took control of the second period at the UniBol.

Coleman was happy to settle for the point against Keith Hill's side after riding their luck in the first period to escape with a clean sheet.

"It was a game of two halves. We got absolutely battered in the first half," said Coleman. "We couldn’t have complained if Bolton had come in 3-0.

"They were first to every ball, passed the ball well. They used their target man really well up front – they played off him and passed it well to create three or four chances.

"Our keepers made some good saves. They’ve been a bit wasteful with one or two, but we slowly edged ourselves into the game.

"I would’ve liked to have won this game, but I’m certainly not going to say we should be winning this because Bolton are a good side and they showed that in the first half.

"No one’s done what they did to us in the first half all season. It bodes well for them for the future."
