Should I do something?

Have you got a hosepipe?

Yes, there's a lot of need for a hosepipe in the penthouse suite.

I guess it depends on what  your hobbies are.

You could have a fantasy game with an imaginary fireman for all I know.

Watering plants.

Blasting the patio to clean it.

You can make a very passable french horn out of a hosepipe.

Why?

Was it not due to that they had no fence at the end of their front garden so the kids would spill out on to the street?

Yesterday we joined the back of a long queue for the supermarket to get in enough essentials to last through the Easter holiday (Mind you, almost every product in Waitrose is classed as part of their  "Essential" range!)
Everyone was keeping at least 2m apart, as directed. It was very quiet...until a scruffy, middle aged-guy breezed up right behind us, "singing" very loudly such gems as Thumbelina and classics from Mary Popppins. Pissed at 1.30 in the afternoon! I gave him my best glare and indicated that he move back rather than invade our space. Wasted my time. Completely oblivious.
Caught the eye of the Security man who did nothing. You'd have thought the volume of the singing and the reactions of the rest of the queue might have been a clue to the nuisance value, and the failure to observe  social distancing should have alerted Waitrose staff as well as the Security bloke. But no! I wanted to lay hands on the drunkard but remembered myself just in time, and decided to abandon our place in the queue and rejoin at the very end again.

Got inside, did the shopping whilst Val Doonican continued his serenades across the store, got to the checkout, only to be barged aside by our hero who'd decided he'd forgotten some crucial goods. Fortunately the physical contact only involved his elbow making contact with my forearm.....so I may survive, but if you don't hear from me again, you'll know why.

Before I  shuffle off this mortal coil, please listen to the song I posted on the Music Thread, by daughter and father from Ohio, total amateurs, Savanna and Mat Shaw, singing in perfect harmony in their special room at home. It will rouse your emotions as it did mine and Cajun's. Stunning! I swear it's at least as good as the same song performed by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion......It's called The Prayer and is ideal for the times we're enduring. Enjoy! Happy Easter.

This just seems to be a complete waste of a Doctors time especially due to the situation right now.

Couldn't they have just bought some from the supermarket?

Bloody ridiculous!

I often wonder what strange game Trump is playing. Does he have a long-term aim that isn't obvious to anyone else, or is he just an arrogant, bumbling fool who is so concerned with how he 'looks' that his actions are only for re-election, and his country is being allowed to crumble as a serious world power ? I think the latter, but God knows what sort of mess he will continue to make, and how the rest of the world will suffer for his vanity.

He is seriously mentally disturbed and should be removed from office.  The bigger question is why his followers in Trumpistan listen and follow like sheep.  The man cannot help from lying, which is a mental condition.  He follows in the footsteps of Roy Cohn, lawyer, who led Senator McCarthy into the abyss in the 1950s during the Red Scare.  Vanity Fair published a masterful piece comparing the two:          https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/06/donald-trump-roy-cohn-relationship

HI Obs, long time no speak. Are you and the family OK?

Trump is just unbelievable. Seems to think he'll get the USA back and trading in a couple of weeks or so. If he does I think we'll see the first country experiencing a second wave of the virus.

With all the animosity on the forum, I stayed away.  I just wish people were kinder to each other. Thankfully we are all fine, but know many others who have been hospitalized with covid 19.  We are all hunkered down, only going out once a week to get groceries.  You are correct that the second wave will knock us for a loop, since our loopy and most probably mentally deficient president is trying to get his rich friends richer.  He must have a medical degree since he knows more than any doctor or infectious disease specialist.  I'm so happy he picked his daughter and son-in-law (affectionately known as moron-in-law) to lead the fight against covid 19.  The only good news is we have only 201 days until the presidential election.  The damage Trump has done will take some time to repair.  He has acted like a king, and he will be dethroned.  For my money, I can hope that science prevails to protect us all.  Hopefully there will be a vaccine early next year.  Please stay well and remain healthy.

And you mate.
We moan about our governments actions, either slow or non-existent, but I really cannot understand Trump. I genuinely feel that his actions and comments for this virus will tip the scales very strongly in favour of the Democrats. He just doesn't seem able to grasp how serious the situation is.
Anyway, look after yourself Obs, be safe and continue to keep your head down, and good luck
