ENJOY, they are a classy group of musicians.  What are the makes of the guitars played by the old guy and the new kid on the block?

The younger guy with the black guitar is using one of the new Fender Telecasters. The bassist is using a Fender Precision, and the older guy is using a Gibson semi-acoustic, maybe a Lucille or an ES-335 or similar.
The dude on the black guitar has a great, stylish haircut.
I only like looking at Ladies though, and enjoyed the saxophone solo from the classy lady.
This ( of course ) is a cover of the Neil Young song called like a hurricane.
The first line
Once I thought I saw you in a crowded hazy bar
Dancin' on the light from star to star

makes me sad, thinking of someone departed. Crying or Very sad

Yes, I'm a big fan of Neil Young .
Thanks for the info on the guitars.
I agree about the classy lady on the sexophone, very impressive in many ways.

Yes, I always think that seems weird, there is no way I would have thrown my program away.

Its in the key of Cmajor. Cmajor has no natural sharps or flats, unless otherwise stated. They have tuned down half a step too to E flat.
I am playing it on guitar, right now.
Play the Aminor chord in the fifth position, Gmajor in the 3rd, F major in the first. Also Gmajor in the tenth position and Eminor in the seventh. Dont play any of the bass notes.

( The Neil Young Cover that is ).

The next key up from Cmajor is the Gmajor scale where every F is sharp.

Jimi Hendrix died 50 years ago today, probably the greatest guitarist of all time. There are some documentaries about him on Sky Arts at the moment and i watched on last night about his suspicious death but lets remember the incredible talent today.

Many moons ago I went to see Bryan Ferry play at the amazing Apollo Theatre in Harlem, NYC.

The first 45 minutes of the show was a harpist playing with no sign of Ferry himself.
Eventually the booing started and he showed up to explain that he was trying out new things and the audience should be patient. He never recovered and it was an absolute disaster.

In the lobby they were selling those cream silk scarves he used to wear with wire in them so that they could be posed to look like they were flapping in the wind. An odd experience all around other than getting to see the fantastic theatre. I saw Morrissey there a few years later who was amazing but that was before he’d turn d into a complete tool.

I saw Ferry with Roxy Music at the Hardrock in Manchester. The New York Dolls were supposed to be opening for them, but something happened and they couldn't make it. The stand in support wasn't great, but Roxy made up for it. They were great, but Ferry became, sadly, a pain in the arse in later years. His son has now surged past him in the arsehole stakes.

Loved their first album and a few of the early singles, but they just got more and more commercial until I lost interest - and that was a long, long time ago.

Yes, still got those first two, but they lost the plot after that. Ferry became what I can only call a lounge singer.

Mind you,Brian Eno had a smash hit.
