WANDERERS (3-4-1-2).

MATT GILKS…5.

Redeemed himself slightly with an important save in the second half from Kayode but was all at sea for the first goal, which set the wobbles going.

ALEX BAPTISTE…4.

Didn’t look like he was in the right gear from early on, struggling against Patrick, so it was no great surprise to see him subbed at half time. Major mistake on the third goal.

RICARDO SANTOS…4.5.

This was much more like August Santos than November Santos, and though he improved marginally in the second half, he is clearly capable of better.

RYAN DELANEY…4.

Caught short on the second goal and was sloppy in most respects during the first half. Enduring a worrying dip in form of late.

PETER KIOSO…7.

Scored the crucial equaliser and deserved it, as he had worked as hard as anyone to get Wanderers back into the game. Simply did not deserve his late red card.

ANDY TUTTE…6.5.

Tidy return to the team, in general, disrupting a lot of Carlisle’s play either side of half time to keep Bolton in touch.

ANTONI SARCEVIC…5.5.

After a pretty poor first half the captain definitely came back into it after the break and supplied a killer cross for Delfouneso’s goal.

GETHIN JONES…5.

Worked hard up and down the left but faced with a decent double act in Alessandro and Guy, he always had his work cut out.

GEORGE THOMASON…6.

May well have been the match-winner. Great to see him get on the scoresheet but will have to learn fast about where and when to try and play intricate football.

EOIN DOYLE…6.

Hardly got a touch in the first half and had to drop deep to get things started for the Whites in the second period too. Halfway is not where you want him on the ball – but commend the attitude.

NATHAN DELFOUNESO…5.

Grabbed a goal but unlike Doyle, you didn’t feel he contributed enough in other areas. An off day, perhaps, but Delfouneso should be standing out in a poor game like this.

Subs: Isgrove 45 (for Baptiste) – Effective at the start and end of the second half 6.

Greenidge 76 (for Delaney), Brockbank 90+6 (for Doyle).

Not used: Crellin, Comley, Crawford, White.

Carlisle United (4-3-3): Farman; Hayden, Bennett, McDonald, Amer; Guy, Riley, Mellish; Alessandra, Kayode, Patrick.

Subs: Toure 77 .

Not used: Reilly, Charters, Dixon, Dewhurst, Bell, Obiero.

Referee: Ross Joyce 3/10 – It’s saying something that the weather was not the most negative influence on this match. Unnecessarily card happy.
