Veep was brilliant. And for some reason I didn't watch The Thick Of It either.

I've only just got round to watching Yes Minister, and I'm loving it.

Not seen Veep but I will have to look into it. The Thick of it is brilliant. Yes Minister still stands the test of time if you haven't seen it.

Just seen the Mash report has been cancelled by the beeb. So the proposed axing of so-called left wing comedy shows has started now then i see  Rolling Eyes

I thought it was a very funny programme but it did rub gammon's up the wrong way which is fine with me.

It didn't always hit the mark and ironically it gave a chance to hear a funny right wing comic (Geoff Norcott) but it is symptomatic of the BBC bowing to Tory pressure yet again.

Watched a few episodes of The Terror on BBC and it's been fantastic so far, well worth a watch.

I gave up on 'The Terror' at about episode 6. Too slow for me. Admittedly it looks great though.

'The Flight Attendant' is brilliant. Loved every minute of it. Big Bang's Kaley Cuoco shows what a top actress she can be.

And 'Your Honor' is also worth a watch.

You should have stuck with the Terror Nat, it was fantastic.

Your Honor has been good so far as well.

I've gone for a series I never watched 1st time around called Farscape. It's pretty cool too with Claudia Black being a super badass and Ben Browder is much better in it than he was in SG-1.

Tonight's blistering episode of Line of Duty was one of the best ever. Utterly gripping intrigue. Brilliant!

Anyone watching Hausen on Sky Atlantic? Its German and a dark and creepy series about a block of flats that has an evil presence.

Its a bit slow to get going but worth sticking with.

There's a similar block of flats in Preston.

Block of flats?

You massive wazzocks.

I live in an exclusive penthouse where tradesmen have to use the back doors, only non-common folk get to use my front door.

Why all the fuss about Line Of Duty? Don't watch it myself, but a mate who does tells me the finale was poor.
I really don't care either way.

I was very disappointed in the ending, the whole episode felt an anti-climax to me.

Line of Duty is a masterpiece of plotting, acting and dialogue, featuring fascinating intrigue, interrogation, deception (and gripping action scenes), continually dropping hints and Jed herrings to keep the audience guessing throughout. Riveting to watch and discuss.

I think some people were hoping for the sort of shootout that featured at the end of a previous series and so were disappointed that series 6 and its finale were more concerned with exposing a top brass willing to put reputation before honesty, integrity, and decency. Mercurio made frequent reference to real-life incidents involving the likes of Lawrence, Saville, Hillsborough policing, organised crime and ruthless drug cartels etc.

It became an important political and social commentary that was closely related to reality and was never likely to result in repeated scenes of melodrama but instead highlighted the sad truth that institutionalised corruption in the police would continue to be denied.

The scripts were witty, intelligent and interwoven with the complexities of human relationships.

Just started watching Mare of Easttown on Sky Atlantic and it looks like it's going to be good and worth a watch. Great cast as well with Kate Winslet and Guy Pearce.

Nonetheless, everyone wanted it to be the Chief of Police - and indeed it may turn out that way in the next series. Enough hints were dropped.
Presume that's why Mercurio has defended the ending so much.
