Harrogate is a hotbed of Marxism. Agatha Christie held secret meetings there.boltonbonce wrote:Couple of Tory mates came round for a brew this morning, and a good session of verbal abuse ensued, which only ended when I waved some Tunnoch's Tea Cakes under their noses.
However, things took a rather strange turn when one of them turned down my proffered cuppa saying, "I'll have coffee, you use Taylors tea, and they're a Marxist organisation".
I decided to let it go over my head, but I think I'll have to investigate what drugs they're taking at Tory grass roots level.

I'm still at a loss. It has, however, given me a great idea about how I can stop him from eating all my Tunnock's Tea Cakes.wanderlust wrote:

You could have simply licked the top of them all first.
That would have done the trick!

Don't give me ideas. I'm still in lumber over my kitchen antics yesterday. I'm keeping my head down, sorting my desk draws out. In doing so I've discovered I have over 50 watches. No idea how this came about, but I'm a bit of a watch geek, so I'm not as surprised as I should be.karlypants wrote:

Who even needs a watch these days. None of my immediate family own one.
I need to stop all this hoarding. It's not healthy.

Good old Minnie. I was always a big fan of Pansy Potter too. I can't think of Pansy without seeing Clare Balding.

Just back from the dentist in Walkden. No treatment needed, thankfully.
Had a stroll round the Ellesmere Centre, and was rather taken aback by the buckets hanging from the ceiling.
Is it an art installation? Do they have an unusually situated leak? Or is this what Vegas would look like if it were situated in the north of England?

Bit of a random post, but I remember seeing this interview as a boy, and having a deep feeling of pity for this man.
