Actually pig I do think we’re good enough to go up and if we don’t I’d put it entirely down to Evatt. How can he continue to not see what others can see? We have more than enough talent and experience to beat anybody in this league but not if they’re sat on the bench or only thrown on when desperation strikes. Dapo would walk into any other team in this league out wide, a position he’s been acknowledged by outside experts to be exceptional in yet Evatt ignore that and either try’s to shoehorn him in elsewhere, or worse still leaves him on the bench. Sadlier performs every time he comes on yet never starts. Charles and Kachunga fail every time yet start most weeks. Santos similarly underperforms more than excels yet again starts every game.
I admire people who stick to their principles but Evatt’s taken this to new levels and it isn’t now conviction in what you’re doing as much as stubbornness to accept it doesn’t work. Instead of reading books about the likes of Klop, Pep and other great managers and how they do things, maybe he should read a few about humility and how to learn the job. Whatever he says I can’t see a number players being happy about what’s happening and if they’re unhappy or unconvinced in what they’re being asked to do they will under perform, as I believe they are now. I’ve always backed Evatt but I’m afraid that like some of the players, I’m beginning to lose confidence in him now. Since he never seems to get approached for other jobs maybe we’re not the only ones?
