I moved from Farnworth to Warrington in 89. Still got a soft spot for it, but I can't see myself going back. Martin, who hasn't posted on here for a while still lives there I think.

I'm born n bred Farnworth, I can remember going to the old Farnworth Baths, with the market one side, Bus Station the other & Sunblest facing, I remember meeting Tommy Banks on the Market, telling stories of how he would get the bus with the fans after a morning shift down the pit with a pie & a bottle of Pale Ale then play full back at Burnden Park. Huge character, he could whisper over three fields, never shut up about Ralph Banks..Great days....

Dreaded Farnworth baths. I'm sure the water was 90% bleach. Spent most Saturday mornings on the market or sniffing around Salters sports shop.
