Now that Nuggy is away with Leicester most nights I find myself listening to a lot of music. In truth, however, I rarely stray far from my comfort zone of hardcore hip-hop 1987-1999.

It's time to broaden my horizons. Therefore, I want everyone to recommend me an album.

But I want obscure stuff, not commercial shite that is in every home in the UK. Everyone has an obscure little gem of an album in their collection - I want to know yours.

You may recognise the tune of this from the Halfords advert.

It was only when I heard it at circuit training once that I realised it's a a little gem of a record in it's own right and went in search of the album. Also brilliant.

I've just bought it for 1p off Amazon. It better be worth the financial outlay.

Anything by Frank Zappa, let's say 'Roxy & Elsewhere'. Doubt it will be available for 1p on Amazon unfortunately.

Cheapest is £7.63 - are you sure it's worth it. Do you really want to owe me that amount of cash?

I'd say it is worth it, yes. However, to make it more interesting I'm going to recommend the best album I can find for 1p (£1.27 including postage).

There's loads of cd's and dvd's on amazon for a penny these days. It's mainly because the big sellers on market place use some sort of software that undercuts the lowest priced seller by 1 penny at a time, but if you then get sellers doing this the price can quite quickly get down to a penny. Which is great if you're buying, not so much if you're selling.
