We've been looking forward to this game for quite some time and I've booked the Monday off work :drinks:

It's not an ideal time to be playing Wigan though, as they have a brand new spanking manager, look what happened at Boro?

I'd imagine we'll take at least 4K fans to Wigan, so it should be a good un! :good:
Try Raven and Anvil. Moons gone a bit shit ale wise apparently.
I'm not too sure what to do now, as my mate reckons it won't be easy getting in any of the pubs around Wigan town centre. Some Bolton fans reckon we're going to take over all the pie eaters pubs in the Town centre next Sunday. Rolling Eyes

I seem to remember all the pubs in Wigan town centre only letting home fans in who have season tickets or home tickets.

A few Nuts members have met up previously in Harvesters for home games. If anyone fancies a meet up just post on here and I'm sure one or two will be up for it. Gloswhite has driven down from Cheltenham a few times, as well as a few away games to Bristol and Cardiff. If anyone is going to Leicester away and wants to meet up for a pint beforehand then send me a PM.

I'm looking forward to meeting up with AD ( as long as his IBS has cleared up)

We moved from Scotts to Harvesters about two seasons ago. The beer is cheaper and you get served quicker. ( They always have extra bar staff on match days )

No obligation on match days to order food if you just want a pint and the beer garden is much bigger so it's a no brainer tbh.

That guy on the front seat just reminded me of the wheelchair guy on little Britain. I know from experience whatsome of these numpties are like in pie land.
I once was at the traffic lights in Wigan behind this bloke. The lights turned to green and he went nowhere. His exhaust was showing that the car was running and the traffic was building up behind me. Sure enough the lights turned to red and the daft cnut then set off and into the path of moving traffic!!

Bolton Wanderers fans snap up 4,000 tickets to Wigan clash

Wanderers will be roared on in Sunday’s derby at Wigan Athletic by more than 4,000 fans – and counting!

The club has reported a huge uptake of tickets ahead of the first visit to the DW Stadium in just over two years and are now down to their last few hundred tickets.

Wigan expect the gate to approach 20,000 in total as the home fans prepare to welcome new manager Uwe Rosler for his first game in charge.

But it is not yet known whether they will make a small number of tickets available on the turnstiles.

Wanderers will keep tickets on sale until Saturday lunchtime and have urged supporters to purchase them as early as possible in order to avoid disappointment.

Opposition watch: Wigan Athletic

Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic meet for the 38th time this weekend, with the Latics currently edging ahead in terms of victories in the fixture with 14 as opposed to Wanderers’ 13.

With the Whites’ local rivals having suffered relegation from the top flight back in May after eight consecutive seasons in the Premier League, this weekend’s clash will be the first between the sides in almost two years.

When the teams met last, Wigan ran out 2-1 winners at the Reebok Stadium thanks to James McArthur’s late strike, while in the last meeting at the DW Stadium it was to be Wanderers’ day as they secured a 3-1 victory back in October 2011.

Following on from their Europa League exit against Maribor on Thursday evening, Sunday’s clash marks manager Uwe Rosler’s first league match in charge of the Latics after the departure of former Bolton boss Owen Coyle earlier this month.

Having struggled to make their mark during the opening months of the campaign, Wigan are currently residing in 14th position in the Sky Bet Championship league standings, a single place above Bolton courtesy of a superior goal difference.

It was certainly a summer of change for the Lancashire outfit, with the departure of manager Roberto Martinez alongside a number of influential players such as Antolín Alcaraz, Maynor Figueroa and Franco Di Santo leaving the Wigan faithful unsure of what the future would hold for the club.

The arrival of Coyle in the hot seat however alongside a range of new faces including the acquisition of highly rated Manchester United midfielder Nick Powell and experienced goalkeeper Scott Carson gave the club’s fans renewed optimism ahead of the new season.

Following an inconsistent start to the campaign however with six wins, four draws and eight defeats in the league, the decision was taken to appoint former Manchester City striker Rosler from League One high-fliers Brentford earlier this month.

With the biggest crowd of the season expected at the DW Stadium and almost 4,000 visiting supporters confirmed to be making the short trip to the game, the clash looks set to be a festive cracker come kick off.

A big away following might have counted for something in the 90's but these days it means nothing. The players don't give a shite, and 4000 Bolton fans isn't going to change that.

Hopefully the boos will be louder though.
