Who would you keep for next season?

Probably nobody would be my answer, but I know we're going to be stuck with most of them.

So who would you hang onto?

I'd keep Zat Knight, and fuck the rest off.

There's only Mears, Eagles, Knight, and Holden out of contract, so unless there's a lot of stupid managers out there we're stuck with most, FWIW I would get rid of Eagles and Mears.

The good thing is if any of them stay they will be staying on vastly reduced wages...

Mears can fook off! If Holden's wages are still paid by the USA then he can stay, he's gonna be given a back room job anyway. Knight would be good for cover (I think) but on vastly reduced wages if not he can fook off. Eagles, is hit and miss and if he's on high wages he can fook off too!

Get rid of everyone out of contract - a few good games by Knight shouldn't cancel out 3 seasons of shit. Holden, Eagles, Mears & Lee should all be shown the exit.

Based on this season, Spearing can go for me as well

Spearing has had a poor season...

They've all had poor seasons - not one player, who we own, has played well.

If I could get four million for Mavies, I'd sell him too.

I'm really not fussed.

I like Danns, I like Juke...... struggling. (yeah i know they're on loan, says it all really)

I think Baptiste has mostly been shite this season.ok he's been playing out of position a lot.

Just don't think among our current squad, there is any reason that things will get better next season, regardless of who our manager is.

I think next season, is all about getting the points in the bag to stay up.

Payments have'nt stopped Scott, we now only recieve 8 million instead of 16 million.

The smart clubs bring players in .....then they have a surplus to requirements situation.  We get rid then look for repacements and then hope.
Anyhow ....  Mears can go and I would try to get some money for Chungy. We should find out if Beckford and the Duke can play together. I'm not sure about Mason yet .....but maybe we should sign him and the Duke and cash in on Beckford?
An attacking Left back would be grand ....possibly unload Mills to pay for it?

I'm praying chungy has a decent world cup and someone comes in for him, he's so fucking frustrating to watch.

Knight will probably go to the USA ....although a donkey at least he has some fire in him for BWFC.  And at his age it would be wise to move him on.  Mavies ?   that's our only creative player?  Cavies hasn't had a proper chance but will likey go.  Eagles ???  reduced wages and he can stay for me.

I reckon it's going to be tough but I'd keep:
Tierney - simply because he's the only senior LB we have and he hasn't really had much of a chance to show what he can do, although there's still hope he'll be back before the end of the season
Bogdan - just my opinion but having invested so much in him over the years it would be a shame to can him just when he's starting to show some class
Ream - versatile and would be great in midfield if given the chance. His passing is so much better than Spearing's so he could create chances as well as defend well
Medo - I think he does the simple things well and always seems to put a good effort in
Holden (if he makes it) - because he has the right attitude and will bust a gut to repay the club (although that does sound like another injury!) He would also be a great captain and be instrumental in bringing through the youngsters we'll need.
Mills or Wheater - we need at least one senior CB to bring Cian Bolger through

Apart from those I wouldn't complain if Dougie put the rest up for sale and focused on bringing the prospects through with maybe a couple of quality acquisitions if we can clear enough dead weight out.

Even with just those in the team we could just about compete with youngsters and survive as they grow in stature although we would probably flirt with relegation.

Also looking for Threlkeld, Lester, and a few others to come through next season.
And if we cleared enough out in addition to those out of contract, especially Sordell and Andrews we could strengthen the attack with the money saved - and I'd be happier if Dougie spent it on 1 or 2 with real quality rather then 3 or 4 average players.

I just reckon that with Tierney back and Bolger, White and Threlkeld coming into the reckoning, the back 4 will be just about OK without spending any money at this stage.

I know/hope there's a big clearout coming in the summer, but how many that are still in contract we can get off the books is another story altogether.
