Did anyone watch him on Football Focus at lunchtime today? I was quite impressed. He came across as articulate and knowledgeable and gave the appearance of being an ideal candidate for a daughter to bring home to meet her parents.

He's obviously a terrific lad. It makes Doctor Whittam's cynicism about him walking out on us if we go down a bit sad.

Ha ha, you're right, just because he acts all "nicey-nicey" on national television means he won't leave us in the Summer

He'll be off quicker than you can say "ponce" if we go down.

where will he go?
Till he proves his long term fitness/durability no prem team will touch him with even Natashas bargpole.

Are you really that dim?
He won't be on massive wages, won't command a huge signing on fee, no transfer fee - clubs will be falling over themselves to take a chance.

He has shown when fit that he can do the business at this level and even the game he ad at Villa this season, he ran the show.
Trust me teams will take a chance on him, as said above he won't be on massive wages and any decent offer that comes in for him if we go down will be taken.

As a TOC H lamp apparently
His contract runs till 2013 and we dont know (Barrister Whittam might) if theres a relegation clause in there.
Also, he did have a cruciate knee problem with subsequent ligament damage, so its not that straight forward.
But hey! What do I know.

The thing is that the fans of all the other clubs at the bottom are also saying that they're as good as down - and they can't all be right.
All we should be concerned with is whether or not we can put together a string of decent performances cos if we do we'll survive. It's the other clubs who don't have their fate in their own hands that should be worried, including Wigan.

I think OC wants him to be the centrepiece of the new squad. His style, skill, commitment and personality will be a superb example for our young 'uns. He isn't going anywhere just yet.

I actually meant (though admittedly didn't make clear) that I'm sad for Doctor Whittam. I'd hate to be someone who sees the worst in everyone.
I see that now we have a fantasy relegation release clause to contend with.

If someone offered £2m he could leave. Check the BWFC accounts, it's there in black and white.

Income from player transfers isn't itemised in the club accounts, Natasha.
