Sad, been listening to the tributes on BBC 5 Live and a short interview with the man himself. Highlight of most football fan's weekend. Trying to predict the score he was going to say

"Bolton Wanderers 2....Wolverhampton Wanderers....1"

RIP

Very sad.

I've listened to him for years and years and football wasn't the same for me anymore when he retired last year.

Still doesn't seem right having a woman reading out the football scores io me.

RIP.

Listening to him reading out the scores on Sports Report used to be a fixture of driving home from away games when I was younger.

Nobody spoke in the car while it was on, except for the odd chorus of "Wahay!" if Utd had lost or "Boo!" when Tranmere had scabbed a win.

RIP.

You really have got it in for women today Sluffy.
Is there something we should know about?

You know he's right.

We let a woman run the country once and look how that turned out.

We're still paying for it now, twenty five years on....
