Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!

The striking positions in the England squad are the subject of much debate.

Wayne Rooney is guaranteed a place I would think but the other berths are up for grabs with some in form strikers Roy Hodgson could choose from.

Daniel Sturridge, Danny Welbeck, and Rickie Lambert have been popular choices recently but with the emergence of Harry Kane and Saido Berahino who knows?

Throw into he mix the likes of Charlie Austin and even Danny Ings there is food for thought for the England manager.

If we were to pick 4 strikers for the next squad, who would you pick?

I'd pick Heskey.

Rooney, Sturridge, Kane, Austin and Berahino would be my 5 picks.

You pick strikers who are in good form goalwise and IMO Kane and Austin should be starting for the next England game.

I would definitely leave out Ings and Lambert which leaves six. Wouldn't argue with those five although Welbeck usually does pretty well for England.

Have to think about it,but Rooney wouldn't be in there. Never rated him as highly as some people seem to.

Rooney is a good player. I would agree he's been a little overrated but not sure he's a player you can leave out of the squad.

Problem is,so few players seem to show anything like their club form when on England duty.
It's a bit of a puzzle.

Rooney, Sturridge, Kane, Berahino & Walcott.

Ings isn't ready yet imo and Charlie Austin never will be, majority of his goals have been penalties and he's too slow for the international game, he'd be a one cap wonder like Jay Bothroyd

Never even gave Walcott a thought tbh. Terrible finisher though. Generally struggles for an end product. Don't think he ever really lived up to his wonder kid status. Good to bring on from the bench against tired defences I would say.

Rooney and Ings can play in different positions and are both natural number 10's.

So I'd have six..... Rooney, Kane, Ings, Berahino, Sturridge, Austin

It's time for new blood and Welbeck isn't getting a game at Arsenal.

It was a toss up between Walcott and Welbeck, neither have great footballing brains but are fast as fuck and Pop up with the odd goal. Guess I went for the quickest

Walcott maybe. I quite like Welbeck tbh, decent finisher.

Promised a lot,but has been a big disappointment.
Like Walcott,he doesn't seem to have a footballing brain.

Walcott would be in the batch of midfielders if anything.

He runs, he runs some more, he carries on running until he's ran out of pitch.

Rooney, Kane, Ings, Welbeck, Sturridge, Berahino.

I'd like to take 6 but if not possible Ings would be the one to drop out.

I think Boggers is spot on about Austin, too slow for international, Walcott's a good option off the bench but needs to get some form before he comes back (shouldn't be automatic choice). Welbecks in for his England record.

Burnley's very own Tom Heaton has made the England squad.

Austin and Vardy in as well.

Fair play to Heaton, well deserved.

Not sure Vardy is justified though, 4 goals this season.
