I've said it before, your music taste is your one saving grace SK. Great track and a great guitarist is Bonamassa, my dad saw him supporting Clapton a few years back. Lucky bastard.

Oh I'm overwhelmed!
Come back when you've lived some life.

Can you not do better than repeat what I've already said to you?
Maybe you have more wise words about squatting and japs eyes for us?

Looks a bit dryer there than it was at Bickershaw SK. Great clip that.Trust Weir to forget the words. Apparently in the early days the rest of the band saw him as a bit of an amateur and didn't rate his rhythm guitar playing as he fucked up regularly on stage. Was nearly thrown out of the band on several occasions I believe.

Never heard that one but always thought he was pretty level headed and the glue in the band. I've got his Ace album from way back on vinyl and some of the stuff on there, which he of course wrote, went on to be played regular at Dead gigs, Mexicali Blues being a particular one of my faves.
I can still see them at Bickershaw like it was yesterday. Many years ago I bought a 4 cd Dead in England '72 import Steppin Out. It has 8 tracks recorded there including Playing in the Band.

Thanks for that Norpig. Think we must have similar tastes as The Sundays were right up my street as well. Harriet Wheeler's voice just did for me. "Reading,Writing and Arithmetic" was a fantastic album which I still play regularly. This was my favourite, should have been a massive no.1 hit single.

Might have posted this before and if I have, I apologise.
However, it's a great tune and it was a big part of my musical development.
And his Dad played for Sellick.

Needed more publicity in order to receive the acclaim they deserved.
Harriet Wheeler's voice is to die for.

I'm pushing Beth Hart this week because she's sensational. Have some more.
