Bolton want to re-sign their former midfielder Kevin Nolan.

Veteran West Ham midfielder Nolan, 33, is in the final year of his contract at Upton Park and wants to be playing regularly.

But Nolan's £50,000-a-week wages could be a stumbling block for the Championship Trotters, and West Ham would have to subsidise the contract if he will not take a pay-cut.

Nolan spent 12 years at Bolton, scoring 40 league goals, before making a £4million move to Newcastle in January 2009.

The Lancashire club have recent form when it comes to re-signing their old boys — Eidur Gudjohnsen, who initially played for Bolton in 1998-2000, returned last season at age 36 and scored five goals in 21 league appearances.

The problem is again ' Gartside ' he got rid of him because rumour had it Nolan ' chinned someone'.and rightly so.

If this is true there is no way Gartside would have him back.

Wages too much, especially for a player whose game is largely built on diminishing mobility plus he's still under contract to Wet Spam, so this seems like fanciful journalism to me.

I heard he called Megson a wanker in his final game at Blackburn!
He was only telling as it is. It's a pity Don Megson wasn't!!!
