He seems proud that we have the biggest wage bill in the Championship. Not so sure he'll be quite so proud when we struggle next season.

This letter to the fans is nothing more than an attempt to sell season tickets. Nothing wrong with that, it's what he should be doing. But what is wrong is that he is taking the fans for mugs (again). Every close season he comes out with 'Owen will have funds available' and 'We will strengthen the squad' and other such clap trap. This time it's just 'we will be looking to add to the squad including loan signings'. So we know what to expect then, nowt. Having the biggest wage bill in the division is nothing to be proud of, quite the opposite, it's what happens on the pitch that counts not how many Bentleys are parked in the players car park. Again PG is taking the fans for fools.

The first line of the second paragraph is a lie. We will not have the same squad as we had in the Prem. bar one as stated. Two have already left and a third has yet to make up his mind (let's hope he goes).

So PG a little more honesty please. There is only so much bullshit these 'magnificent' fans you talk about will take.

I think the vast majority of fans are like Largehat, totally blinkered when it comes to BWFC. They can't see they are being taken for a ride by the club. As soon as you start to doubt the club you are labelled disloyal by these morons.

If more fans voted with their feet we wouldn't get this sort of shite from Gartside. But he knows the majority of fans would still watch Bolton if he went round and pissed on their front garden.

Course he's trying to sell season tickets, that's his job, the more he sells the better for the club. Don't think anything he's said is a lie, he'll obviously choose to put a positive spin on things, but none of it isn't true.

How do you know it is a lie? The players that have been released would probably have been released regardless of what division we were in, except for Reo Coker.

The truth is football is what have you done for me lately. Sure there is some merit to that as there is to much in life.

but when you think back to the days of Big Sam, the top 8, level on points with Liverpool in 6th, the Carling Cup final, the Europa League, Okocha, Heirro, Youri, Campo, N'Gotty.

People change. Just because someone had some successful years does that make them immune to criticism for ever?

I've been as critical about Gartside as anyone. My main gripe was his rash appointment of Sammy Lee which i believe set us back years.

But i do find some of the abuse he gets embarrassing.
