Ideally you would want a new manager to see his troops in action before he takes over. That way he has more idea on what's needed for next season. Otherwise we will have to first half of the season probably wasted as the new man learns what the current crew is capable of.
Anybody coming in the summer will have some cracking pre-season games to make some judgements..... possibly away at the Dog and Partridge over 40 team and home against a Farnworth boy scout 11 ......stuff like that I imagine.
