Match abandoned because of a suspect package? Rumour has it that it turned out to be one of LVG's discarded wage packets.

Disgraceful. This could have cost people their lives.

Credit to the emergency services.

It wasn't a bomb. It couldn't hurt anyone

A mate of mine showed me a photo he took at the game showing two stands full and the other two completely empty. He was locked in while at the same time getting messages from people outside who were being told to get the fuck away from the stadium as quick as they could. It's a wonder there wasn't mass panic & people getting trampled.

This just keeps getting better, it was actually left by a security company doing training exercises with sniffer dogs. Surely someone could have made the connection and confirmed it was one of their dummy ones.
It's cost United apparently £3m it will cost Bournemouth thousands putting on free transport and all because someone forgot to pick up a dummy bomb after a training exercise.
In other news there has been a major explosion at Gigg lane which has caused thousands of pounds worth of improvements.

From what I have read in the news is that they will all be reimbursed and able to watch the game for free as well.

Yes, that's where a big part of United's £3m loss comes from. Would love to have seen the look on the person responsible's face when it dawned on him what had happened.
