On tonight’s victory….
First-half, I thought we played some excellent football and should have scored more. Second-half, we started slowly though - we were a little bit sloppy in our play and could have got punished for it.

We probably still had the better chances, but it’s a lesson learnt that we can’t start slowly. When you don’t play great, you have to roll your sleeves up and we certainly did that.

On his side's run of form of late...
You have to win all kinds of games in football and we showed we can do that tonight. The top teams are all winning and that’s expected.

It’s competitive in this division with Scunthorpe setting the pace, but we’re hanging on to them. We’re on a terrific run ourselves and I’m very pleased with the spirit of the players.

On this evening's opposition…
I knew Coventry would have a reaction to their result at the weekend so they deserve some credit, but you have to win in all different ways over the course of the season and we have done that tonight and we’re very pleased.

On the squad's clean-sheet mentality…
To get clean-sheets, you obviously need people to put their bodies on the line and tonight we saw that.

We pride ourselves on being organised and we’re pleased with the response and effort the lads show. I also thought Ben tonight came in and put in a fantastic performance in goal.

On the determination and work ethic of the players…
The Bolton fans know what it takes to roll your sleeves up and win and that’s what they want to see.

That side of the game I thought was great tonight with every single player rolling their sleeves up and working hard.

It’s what English football is known for with its big hearted players and we have to keep on showing that. Since I’ve come into the club, no one can deny the spirit and determination of the team.

And finally, on goalscorer Zach Clough…
Zach took his goal well - it was excellent technique. He’ll be disappointed he didn’t add to it, but his movement and intelligence all night was excellent.

He’s a special talent and a great player for our supporters to watch.
