Michael Vaughn was on TMS earlier saying that this is just the tip of the iceberg, apparently.
He acknowledged that the 05 Ashes winning side liked "a bit of a party" but he stressed that they never did it during a series.
He intimated that the current crop have been given far too much of a free rein by the people running the show and it's starting to bite them on the arse.
He also hinted at a sense that some of the new "stars" of the England set-up have started to believe their own press and need knocking down a peg or six.
Silly, silly boys....

Been a few people trying to defend him. "He's a 26 year old man,and he likes a few drinks, big deal".
We've even had people making him out to be a hero, going to the aid of two gay blokes. Bollocks.
What I saw on that video was a clearly pissed Stokes, swinging punches.
He's a 26 year old man with 2 kids, who,by virtue of his cricketing talent, has made himself a small
fortune, courtesy of England and the IPL,but who, sadly continues to behave like a teenager. His
insulting take off of Harvey Price is the final nail in his coffin.
Bin him.

Yup.
Fully agree with every word.
Problem is though, cricket's rapidly going the same way football did and he's "box office", so I would imagine there will pressure from Sky to have him selected for the Ashes.
It's rotten.

Can't see him going to Oz. It'd be a bloody circus.
Why couldn't he be a little more like that other maverick, Percy Fender?
Ronald Mason described Fender thus: “Percy fender, tall, angular, beaky, balding, surprisingly reminiscent in appearance of Groucho Marx, looked about as unpromising material for an all-round cricketer as could be conceived. He looked decades older than he really was, and his large horn-rimmed spectacles over the assertive turfed moustache gave him the air of a fierce cashier peering angrily among the ledgers for a lost sixpence.”

My Aussie friend emailed me to say that the Oz media are making the most of the chance to slate Stokes' behaviour, advocating that the English authorities ban him from playing in the Ashes this autumn
But, they seem to have conveniently forgotten that in an earlier tour, Warner punched Joe Root in an unprovoked attack, and the authorities there gave him a gentle slap on the wrist, by giving him a ban UNTIL THE FIRST TEST!
Not saying Stokes is anything other than an over-aggressive lout, but the word "hypocrites" springs to mind.

I'm ignoring his loutish behaviour outside the pub, shocking though it is.
It's his mimicking of Harvey Price that leaves him dead in the water for me.
