WANDERERS could be in line for an unexpected deadline day windfall if Burnley are successful with a bid for Arsenal’s Rob Holding.
The former Academy graduate had a substantial sell-on fee built into the £2.5million deal which saw him move to the Emirates in July 2016.
It is understood one bid has been rejected by the Gunners to take the 22-year-old defender to Turf Moor on a permanent basis.
Arsenal are looking to sign Jonny Evans from West Brom, and it is thought they would be more likely to do a deal with Burnley if they land him before Wednesday’s deadline.

A loan deal until the end of the season – with a view to buy – has also been suggested.
Wanderers have already benefited from a number of bonuses inserted into the deal, negotiating an early payment from the Gunners in November on league appearances.
Another payout came Bolton's way when Holding made his Champions League debut at Basle in December 2016.
And a bonus was also triggered soon after the Tameside-born centre-half moved to Arsenal when Gareth Southgate picked him for the England Under-21s at the Toulon Tournament in France and Euro Championships in Poland.
Holding made 30 appearances for Bolton, scoring once, in a solitary season at the Macron - but had been with the club since the age of seven, rising through the Academy with the likes of Josh Vela and Zach Clough.
