Norwich draw helped cure Bolton's travel sickness, says Parkinson

PHIL Parkinson says there is a “newfound belief” about Wanderers on their travels.
Away form has proved a huge problem for the Whites this season but three solid performances against Norwich, Reading and Sheffield Wednesday have restored some confidence.
Although Bolton have only won one game away from the Macron, where they return to face Aston Villa on Saturday, their haul of 11 points is no longer the worst in the division – that dubious honour now falling at the feet of Birmingham City.

Parkinson reckons the improvement can be traced back to a resolute display at Carrow Road a few weeks ago.
“The lads have got a newfound belief,” he said. “There’s a nice mixture of experience in the team and it’s helping to improve the form.
“That point at Norwich ended a run of 2-0 defeats and it was a different type of performance from Reading and Sheffield Wednesday because we deserved to win those games.
“We were resilient at Carrow Road and the lads drew confidence from the result.”
Although the last three away games have ended up as draws, Parkinson insists his side has not gone out to protect a point.
“The best way to win the game at Sheffield Wednesday was to press them,” he said. “We’ve gone into every game looking to win it.”
