Wenger has been the most successful manager in Arsenal's history and although his austere approach to transfers has frustrated their fans, he has produced some great football, produced some great players (notably turning Thierry Henry from a decent winger into a great striker) and overseen the transition to a new stadium that has given them the earning potential to compete with the likes of Manure.
I'm glad that he will be leaving on a positive note - giving the club time to line up a replacement - rather than being fired at the end of a great career at Arsenal.
Pretty sure that their next manager will be foreign.

He WAS a great manager once. An absolute genius. Only Fergie in the English game could compare, and The Invtncibles team he built were brilliant. But that was then and this is now! Arsenal have been going backwards season upon season for years now and it's mainly been due to Wenger having too much control at the club. He's been reluctant to shell out what it takes in terms of transfer fees and wages for the really top class players needed to be at the top of the English game (and all credit to him for that) but really, considering what Arsenal fans shell out to watch their team it's just not good enough for a club of their standing. They still have some talented players but really the playing squad is a bit of a mess and they have no steel in their side which the likes of Vierra and Petit used to provide. They have too many ordinary players like Xhaka and El Neni who just aren't up to what's required at that level. Add to that the fact they have now turned into a club prepared to sell it's best players (Sanchez, Van Persie, etc) and you see a club prepared to settle for mediocrity on the field in exchange for a healthy looking balance sheet. Ambition has been something totally lacking from the sleeping giant of a club which is Arsenal and Wenger has been a major cause of that without a doubt. Thats why there will be millions of Arsenal fans heaving a huge sigh of relief tonight safe in the thought that Wenger is FINALLY going. And I don't blame them one bit.

Some people have suggested that Arsenal fans "expected success" and I'd argue that such expectations were only possible because of what Wenger achieved earlier in his tenure.
But to suggest they've gone backwards since then is pretty damned picky given that success is relative.
In the last 10 years that they're all whingeing about, they've qualified for the Champions league every season, won 3 FA Cups, 2 Charity Shields and are in with a chance to win the Europa League this year.
Hardly failure.
Sure they haven't thrown money at winning the league or competing in Europe like some teams have but that austerity has helped Arsenal to achieve  very strong financial base on which to build.
Success is relative I'd be in dreamland if BWFC ever got anywhere near what Arsenal have achieved in Wenger's "years of failure".

You’ve just said yourself success is realative, and relative to their revenue 3 FA cups (don’t try and include charity shields) and consistent failure in Champions League knockout stages can only be deemed a failure.

So relieved that Wenger will be leaving.

Sick of him, sick of hearing Arsenal fans moan about him, sick of the media obsessing over him. It's like a reality show that's well past being interesting.

There's no doubt that his brand of football is great when it works - like it has done in the three out of twenty+ seasons that he's been there. But he's only really got that one style so it's no surprise that the wins have been so sporadic.

In terms of him as a bloke, he's been amazing for the English game at times, pretty despicable at others. Some of his displays of sportsmanship (or lack of) have been appalling, unforgivable even.

All in all, not very upset to see the back of the man. That's not to say Arsenal will necessarily be any better off, I wouldn't be surprised if they're still no better than Liverpool, Spurs, United, City in a few years time.
