JASON Lowe headed to Scotland with the Wanderers squad yesterday admitting: “This trip could be the making of the season”.
The former Blackburn Rovers midfielder was one of three new signings in Phil Parkinson’s squad travelling north of the border.
One new trialist was flying into the country last night to join up with the squad, with at least one more expected to link up with the team during the course of the week ahead.
Lowe reckons the success of the trip could go a long way towards how Wanderers fare in the early stages of the Championship campaign.

“Scotland is important because it means the lads will be spending a lot of time with each other, 24-seven, and you get to know the personalities more. For new signings it’s really beneficial,” he told The Bolton News.
“I’m new to the group and though the transition has been pretty easy because I’m a local lad, it might not be as easy as that for everyone.
“We’ll be eating together, working together for a good few days and by the end of it you get a good idea what the group is like.”
Parkinson is hoping to add new faces to his ranks before Saturday’s game at St Mirren, a match which is being eagerly anticipated within the camp.

“There’s only so many times you can run through cones and poles,” laughed Lowe.
“It’s great being back on the pitch but the lads will all be looking forward to playing a proper match.”
