First game of our newest season in the third tier, with club still under Administration, having to borrowing money from the PFA to pay all the players 5 months of outstanding wages, with a manager nobody wants and now according to Nixon even the few we have left under contract looking as though they don't want to play for us anymore -

Bolton. Players taking on club and administrators. Those putting in notice to quit blocked from leaving by appeals. Now taking to an independent panel to get release. Five months no pay. And can’t get away?

If the senior players refuse to play on Saturday, can we just fulfill the engagement by playing
the under 23's?

Or is it more complicated than that!

That would then mean we use up all our registered player slots on youth players - who we’d then have to field until Xmas.

I'm asking because there are rumours elsewhere (LOV) that the senior players will refuse to play on Saturday.

I personally don't think this game will be played, FV are not anywhere near completion despite the PFA loan, it's getting fucking silly now.

Why would we?

I know in the premier League you have to name a 25 man squad of players over the age of 21 (you can use as many under 21's as you like). What is the EFL rule on this? If you do have to name a 25 man squad then surely it would come into effect when the transfer window closes at the end of August.
