I haven't really eaten anything in the last 3-4 days. My mood is very up and down with all this shite that's going on.

I've drunk enough booze to sink a battlehip though!
I know just how you feel about the booze.

It's so easy to think I'll just have a small drop of that Jack Daniels or whatever is your poison. I bought a rather expensive bottle of Calvados the other day from Ocado, it's going down at an alarming rate. Then there is the beer and wine.

Obviously I'm not going out for   visits to my favourite pubs for a meal and glass of red, so it's very tempting when your at home to have the odd extra tipple.

Calvados! My favourite spirit. Worth spending the money to get the good stuff.

I'm with bonce on this. I am worried that I will put on weight as my appetite is unaffected by the crisis and I am not getting as much exercise as I normally would.
Have you got a favourite Calvados?

It used to be Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Calvados XO 12 yo Pays D'Auge but they seem to have stopped stocking it unfortunately.

I don't know if this is the one that karly mentioned but if you can still get this I would buy it while you can.

That looks like the one from the google images.

It looks not to be a big seller here in the UK then if Sainsbury's are not stocking it anymore either like Tesco which is a shame.

Just been on Sainsburys, no Calvados at all.
OCADO
have PIERE MAGLOIRE VSOP CALVADOS 50CL BOTTLE £22.49 ( 44.98 Litre)

That's the one I've got , it's really nice, but not cheap.

What kind of rubbish is that. That's aimed at southern softies who don't know what a real pie is.

DO you not mean they were tarts? Very Happy
Ocado is even worse. Poncey pies.

Both available at OCADO.  Never tried them but they do a great Beef and red Wine pie, plus a great Beef and Stilton.

I don't eat pies often, but when I do, I go for Pukka pies.
I remember years ago when, as a schoolboy, I was sent down to the pie shop down on Deane Road, and I conveniently passed a chip shop on the way back. The good old days indeed.

Weird.

I think the best accompaniment is some slow cooked onions.

Seems a bit odd to me too. I remember 58 like his tinned toms. Wonder how he's doing.

It did make me think of him when you mentioned the tinned toms. Very Happy

I bet he's flat out with his deliveries at the moment.

I love coleslaw and used to have it on a sandwich but wouldn't have it with my bangers and mash.
