Things You Thought Weren't Real, But Are

I always thought Peckham, where Del & Rodney lived, was a fictional part of London.

Turns out it's a real place in South London.

I can think of a couple of things the other way around.

Port Vale as a place doesn't exist!

I know there is a football club but they play in Burslem (which does sounds unreal but isn't!).

I'm also never certain which of the smaller Scottish clubs are actually places and which aren't?

Raith (as in Raith Rovers) doesn't exist and nobody has actually ever danced in its streets!

Another one which seems wrong but isn't, is that the colour of the Sun is white and not yellow!

We see it as yellow because of how the light from it reacts in our atmosphere.

Remember though children, never look directly at the Sun as it will damage your eyes.

(That's real advise and not fake btw!).

I always thought Guinness was black, despite being told it was actually a very dark ruby red.

I was wrong. It's the red stuff.
