Diego Maradona has died

Just announced he’s died at the age of 60. He had only just recently had brain surgery so I guess it’s related to that

I'm neither surprised nor upset TBH.

No age at all, what a player.

Sadly, he'll be remembered over here for the 'hand of god' goal, that we've been whining about for years. He got away with one. Get over it.

Wonderful footballer, possibly even the greatest I've seen.

He virtually singlehandedly won the 1986 World Cup for an otherwise mediocre Argentina side.

Seemed to be another of the flawed geniuses along the lines of George Best and snookers Alex Higgins.

Seriously though he was an amazing player and that second goal against us in 1986 was one of the best ever. I watched a great documentary about him a few months ago that i'm sure will be back on now and is well worth a watch.

I much prefered Freddie Hill.

I've detested him since the "Hand of God" goal. I hate cheats.
