Seems the 'proper' Australia v India game is not until Saturday and in Qatar so it now looks like to me that he's been picked for that game but the one we saw him playing in was just an acclimatising friendly as a warm up for Saturdays game.

As such I can't find a result for the game clearly played but if they were only playing against a local side, then it would be a bit of a set back if they hadn't won.

I assume Jones was awarded a cap for playing in this 'friendly' otherwise what is the point of the video?

As long as Jones remains injury free I guess he becomes an international player officially on Saturday (if not already?) which I thought the video (from the official Aussie football account) had clearly already implied (at least to me) anyway.

Well it seems the match above was a friendly against Bahrain and Jones was awarded his cap for it.

The Asian Cup match against India was earlier today which Australia won 2-0 and Jones played the full 90 minutes as far as I can tell.

It's nice to know that my fellow countryman plays for Bolton. Australia won 2 - 0 and it was a good match.
In general there are a lot of good footballers in Australia, but still there are more good rugby players here
