Holt's ale is good when kept proper but is so inconsistent. They tend to keep an half decent pint in the Millstone in town, although I haven't been in for a while, I much prefer "The Beer Mecca" that is Barristers.
Scythe used to do Holts Derby Bitter if I remember rightly and that was always ok.
Not been in Hen and Chicks for a while, is that still bob on?

Hen and Chickens used to be a Greenall Whitley house, they did a decent pint of dark mild back in the day.

A cyber chum from another site who happens to be a Walsall fan has sent me a few Bathams in the past.

I once sampled one of their brews in a pub in Wales of all places.

A delightful Black Country drop.......
