West Ham boss Sam Allardyce is plotting a raid on his old club Bolton for left-back Marcos Alonso.

Allardyce sent the Hammers' chief scout to watch the highly-rated Spaniard in Saturday's derby win over Burnley, although the former Real Madrid prospect is already sitting on a contract offer from Serie A side Fiorentina.

Alonso seems set to quit when his Bolton deal runs out in the summer, but boss Dougie Freedman hopes a promotion push might persuade him to stay.

If the rumours are true Big Sam might be looking for a job himself, not that he'll be short of offers. Paulo Di Cannio on the horizon and no talks about a new contract at Wet Spam.

Despite Fatty getting them promoted, I imagine the Wet Spam mob will be jizzing themselves at the prospect of getting Di Canio back as a manager.

He is a free agent come May. I reckon he is waiting on the best offer which is a bit sad considering we stuck by him during his accident while he was home in Spain.

He seems to have come on leaps and bounds since Dougie took over. Last season in the Prem at home to Fulham, Damien Duff ripped him a new arsehole but Coyle wouldn't bring him off, since then he seems to have matured.

It's Alonso's fault, if he can't commit to BWFC then Dougie should put him in the reserves.

Alonso has been improving rapidly ....therefore interest from other clubs. If we don't offer him a decent contract then he's off ..... and good luck to him. The daft will be screaming about loyalty again but football is a business. If you were a 22 year old lad and could play in London or chase bikini's in Italy....what would you do?
Of course you would miss the steak n kidney pudding at the Chinese chippy but you can't have it all.

Is there a Chinese chippy in West Palm Beach?

It's not the 3rd world you know.

My point was actually the exact opposite. From what I remember, and it was 12 years ago, West Palm Beach is pretty upmarket. Not sure a Chinese chip shop would fit in.

I'm sure you could find a chippy somewhere. There are places that cater for brits!

Fans moan about loyalty and respect and then start calling the best manager we have had in a decade a 'fat cunt' because hes trying to sign a player from us who would be leaving anyway.

Laughable.

Id rather Sam signed him than Florentina.

Correct.

In truth I'd be surprised if anyone in the Prem wanted him, he's way too slow to make it in the top division.

I have to disagree about Allardyce. I must say that IMO he was the guy who walked into the club following two of the best managers we've ever had to inherit the best financial and playing staff foundations we've ever had and cock it up by creating an unsustainable model that was all very entertaining for a few years until he left us with a disaster that we're still paying for. Anyone can look good if they inherit a fortune, blow it and then walk away when the money's all spent. For a man who supposedly had BWFC at heart, he did a great job of ruining our finances, failing to prepare a succession plan, claiming the success he bought as his own success, throwing a hissy fit when he wasn't allowed to spend even more money, running off to find another rich backer at the first opportunity and then picking the flesh off our club by tempting our remaining players away. Absolute bastard who got away with blue murder by playing the media and conning the fans.

Not saying his successors did any better, but they had to focus on damage limitation and didn't have the fantastic foundations to build upon that Allardyce inherited. Sworn enemy of BWFC through and through so fuck him.
