Was just wondering if anyone on here has used the open university for studying (or knows anybody that has). Contemplating whether to do a subject or two and haven't got the time or finances to go back full time. So the OU seems like the best alternative. Any feedback would be helpful.

I have an Open University degree in Gynaecology. It's been of no use whatsoever.

Don't waste your time or money.
Just lie on you cv. It works.

I have done several courses with the OU and the course materials, student forums and tutor support are very good. The hardest thing is disciplining yourself to make the time to study which is difficult for some, I speak from experience. I intend doing some more at some point and finish a degree, the summer schools are good too but there aren't so many of those these days.
They do some short modules if you want to do a taster course.
