No not for you but for the Accrington supporters at Gillingham at the weekend!

Nice touch really.

Gillingham gave free food to the 28 Accrington fans that made the trip to Priestfield Stadium on Saturday.

Stanley lost 1-0 but their fans had already been given free pies for making the 270-mile trip despite heavy snow.

"It was a lovely gesture. Gillingham are flying high and getting crowds of 10,000 but still care about the smaller clubs," Accrington managing director Rob Heys told BBC North West Sport.

"That said, we would have preferred to take the three points off them."

He continued: "We might not travel in the biggest numbers but we've got a very passionate support.

"That was shown at the weekend with them getting through all that snow."

Accrington have the smallest average home attendance in the entire Football League with 1,619. Gillingham average 6,568 for their home matches, and Saturday's attendance of 10,094 was the biggest crowd Stanley have played in front of this season.

You get free food at the reebok!

Me and two friends each got a hotdog and a pint as they were closing up.

I was reading a Crystal Palace forum before their trip to t'Turf and numerous posters were saying how they were looking forward to buying a pie at t'Turf.

The pies at Burnley are bloody awful, it's them Hollands crap.

Volcanic snot wrapped in a damp dish cloth, that's a Hollands pie.

Not had a Hollands pie for years, is the guy that dispenses a shot of gristle in each pie still doing the business?

Not a phrase I've come across in their marketing.
Perfectly describes a Holland's cheese & onion though, from memory.
I like Carr's pasties though.

To be fair, I have never understood why BWFC has never teamed up with Carrs - would help both local businesses, local economy and local people

The best bought pies that I've ever have been the ones down at t'Turf during the 80's.

Infact sometimes the thought of having a pie was the only reason we left the pub to go onto the match.

Prior to 2009 the only pies sold at the Reebok were Greenhalgh's but then they stopped selling them and all you now get are Hollands pies.

They should sell Carrs as BWFC71 suggests.

I think the thing about Carr's is the thin soft pastry - almost like a wrap. A bit different from the norm and I suspect it's a love 'em or hate 'em thing. They're a bit small for a hungry man - you need at least two IMO.

I do enjoy a Carrs pasty with the thin pastry. The thick fluffy pastry is horrible. The only other decent Flat pastry pasty is done by Greenhalgh's.
