Probably bottom of the table after this one with only 11 games to go.

Can anybody see us getting anything at all here?

Relegation fodder, I believe, with the City match. Even Wigan will go above us...

City 3 0 Bolton

Shame on the players... shame on Coyle... shame on the board for not being pro-active.

Just cannot see us even getting a point. We will be lucky if we concede at least less than three.

Not sure which manager, if thats what you mean, the board could have gone for.

who would really have been better?

Not saying sack the manager or a better manager could have been chosen but the Board could have done things differently - basically make Coyle a Director of Football and bring in a coach to help the team (possible a decent role for Sammy Lee). As Coyle is definitely struggling as a manager and a coach.

Why would Coyle want to be D.O.F? Thats a job reserved for older statesman style former managers.

Who is this manager you'd rather have had, i assume you mean instead of Coyle. Coyle was a popular choice for manager IIRC

I, against my better judgement am considering on going to this game,

Can't think for the life of me how bad this one will get, 5-0.

I didn't say there was a better manager - as anyone was better than Megson, even roland Rat would have been better than Megson!

What I said, and meant, was that no point in sacking Coyle as it would cost us more to get rid of him now, than letting his contract run out, and not saying that there were better managers, at the time, than Coyle who would have come to Bolton (although we could have chosen any manager, already in a job or not - remember we nicked Megson from Leicester after only a month or so fo him being at Leicester! But it comes down to wages, perception and ambition of the club and funds!). But we need to get Coyle away from the day to day coaching of the team and what a better way to do so then promote him, until his contract finishes. That way his dealing with the players is then very minimal!

I admire the idea, but he wouldn't do it. And i wouldn't either, you'd have to be a mug to do it.

"listen owen we don't want you anywhere near the team, but how about sitting upstairs"

lol come on son.

We're losing games Hand over Fist, cant see any change with this one... My worry is what the score will be.

Correct, if we were to let in an early goal I believe a rampant City could put 10 past us.

And no, I'm not joking!

I was at City away last season. Tevez scored an early goal and the score ended up 1-0. City were only charging £28 quid but they have increased the price to £38. I haven't made my mind up yet but I might just give this game a miss.

I really wanted to go as I've not been to the Etihad and might not get another chance for a good while.

But £38 is just ridiculous. And City are usually reasonable!
